Defend oneself from the muggy weather and the high temperatures

Diet.Old people may not feel the need to drink liquids, for this reason they should be encouraged to take adequate amounts of water, preferably at room temperature and non-carbonated. The diet should be light with easily digestible food. Must be preferred fruit and vegetable and small meals. Drink a few leads to dehydration, so the adults must drink about 1.5 litre of water per day,especially the patients stricken by particularl deseases.
Outdoors.It is not recommended to leave the house during the hottest hours, better doing it in the early morning or in the late afternoon, wearing light clothes and products with natural fabrics like cotton and linen; if you go under the sun, put a hat on the head. Use in moderation fans and air conditioning systems.
Air Conditioning. Avoid direct impact of air flows coming from fans and air conditioners. These must be programmed favoring the dehumidifying action and in any event by creating a temperature only slightly lower than the external environment. It can be useful to have more than one shower during the day that give relief from high temperatures.
In the car. And 'advisable not to enter the passenger compartment of your car and use the full power of the air conditioner immediately: better to wait a few minutes so that the interior acquires a comfortable temperature but not too low. Direct exposure with fans and air conditioners can cause respiratory infection or osteo-muscular.
